SEMESTER 8
During "Period 2", each student has to make an important choice between:
- realizing an international mobility within a laboratory or a partner university of sciences and technology around the world,
- doing an internship abroad for a stay of minimum 13 weeks,
- continuing at Centrale Marseille, choosing one out of six thematic customized « trainings »/ « study paths. These « trainings »/ « study paths » focus on major issues (300 h + internship). These courses combine scientific teaching out of a pluri-disciplinary perspective, with reflexions from social sciences (ethics, geopolitics ...). This original approach gives the opportunity to study a wide range of issues out of different points of vue.
Learn to understand and analyze the issues and challenges concerning energy through the introduction of scientific and technical elements. The intellectual approach permits to take into account the sciences, social sciences, economics ...
Environment and Sustainable DevelopmentMake the future engineer understand the challenges of sustainable development. We provide tools that make you understand and situate actions at different levels to develop technical solutions reducing the impact of human activity on the environment (water , air ...).
Information science and digital societyProvide a solid knowledge of the scientific and technical sector : develop the know-how on the capabilities of material systems that can process information (hardware) and make you aware of the societal problems caused by these technologies and their uses.
Dynamics, changes and crisesGet to know the « modeling » tools for dynamics, mutations and crises : how to resume this in a disciplinary report (physics, chemistry, economics ...). Study the advantages and the limits of this model.
BioengineeringWe make the engineering students discover a field of study that is boosting : offering a real potential of opportunities. This broadens the multidisciplinary training with biotechnologies and health.
